Welcome to my very first attempt at blogging, another skill I can brag to the Grandchildren about.
I took these photos with my Canon 500D digital SLR which I got for a bargain on e-bay. My daughter and I spent some quality time together scrambling around Hill 60 at Port Kembla where I was hoping to get some cool atmospheric shots of the old artillery tunnels. Unfortunately (or not) I couldn't get enough light for the camera to work in the tunnels so we decided to head out to the rocks and throw a few pieces of fabric around and see what we came up with. The sound file I listened to had a small snippet of Edith Piaf singing which I used as inspiration for the photos I have chosen, I was looking for that same sensual, jazz quality she had in her music. The idea is to move slowly and spend some 'quality' time with each image.
I am a work in progress so feel free to comment and by the way, I don't mind a little criticism as long as it is going to help me improve.
